The Larry Levis Post-Graduate Fellowship supports an alum of the Warren Wilson College MFA Program for Writers producing his or her first book. The $10,000 Fellowship will be awarded once every two years, and will alternate between poetry and fiction. The 2009 award, worth $10,000, was awarded to poet Kimberly McClintock. McClintock graduated from Warren Wilson in winter of 1999 and studied with poetry faculty Ira Sadoff, Steve Orlen, Reginald Gibbons, and Tom Andrews. The 2009 judges were poets Linda Bierds, Henri Cole, and Forrest Hamer. Finalists for the award were Justin Bigos, Donna Henderson, and Amy McNamara.
